BACKGROUND: Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist the more than two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION: We seek reliable candidates to provide accurate cable assembly of contracted jobs including pressing rivet assemblies. This position is a temporary position generally working the last 5-7 days of the month, with working shifts being 8-10 hours. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for accurate assembly of contracted jobs.
- Perform job with strict attention to safety considerations.
- Reports any defects immediately to supervisor.
- Ability to move 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- High School diploma or its equivalent preferred.
WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: This position is part-time and on-call.
