The Value Village Story

our storyDedicated by Mayor Lew Davis in April of 1965, the Value Village opened its doors at its original location on 4th Avenue.

In 1968, Beacon's Volunteers held the first of many fashion shows to raise money for programs, modeling clothing from Value Village.

Through a rough economy in 1973, Beacon continued their programs from funds raised solely through the Thrift Store.

In 1979, Value Village had grown to become one of the most respected Thrift Stores in Arizona.

Today, the Thrift Store has more than 40 employees and clients serving our Tucson Community. In 2005.

Beacon purchased the old Skate Country building and converted it to the big, bright space that Value Village occupies today on Stone near Glenn.
